Test Discussion-
The snow should be mostly man made snow – with some natural snow mixed in. The snow should be very humid,as the last storm was very wet – overnight temps will be low, but should warm quickly. Skigo waxes have a higher flouro content and work well in these conditions. If the snow is colder and drier than expected, Holmenkol race mix mid might run fast. The Skigo Universal HF should be especially good in these conditions, although Skigo Blue HF might be a substitute.  For fluoro powder – the Holmenkol Syntec powders work really well in older/transformed/man made snow conditions (Race Powder Mid is better in new snow). Ski*Go C105 powder might work as well – especially if the snow is wetter.  For topcoats – again Holmenkol Speed Block Mid (like the Syntec powder) is best in older/man made snow. If the snow is wetter, Ski*Go C22 or C105 block might run well. It is always best to try topcoats out the day of the race. The snow should be pretty hard – so a stiffer flexing ski would be preferred (softer flex gives more float and control, but a stiffer ski can prove to be faster). As for structure, a linear grind will probably work best – unless it is really wet – then go with a heavy structure.

note: BNS imports Holmenkol and SkiGo waxes, and also sells waxes from Swix, Toko, Rode, Solda, Rex, Guru, Innovax, Magnar and others. We
search for the fastest waxes for our customers and our testing is professional, objective and transparent. We make our best effort to test what we think
is the best from each brand. However, given that we are testing more options from Holmenkol and SkiGo, there is a bias toward those brands. With
this full disclosure, you can assess the legitimacy of our testing yourself. Visit Swix and Toko for their official recommendations. If you have any
