Wax Recommendation

This is our final recommendation based on the forecast, testing and our experience at this venue.

Due to the significant change that is forecast for Friday night, we recommend preparing two pairs of skis. Pair 1 listed below is assuming that the forecast conditions appear, with warm temps and 1-2 inches of snow late Friday/early Saturday. Pair 2 is a colder option if the storm does not materialize, or if it stays colder. If you only have one pair, follow the recommendation for pair 1.

Pair 2: SkiGo HF Universal or Holmenkol Race Mix Cold or SkiGo HF Green

NOTES

The weather forecast is once again making the Boulder Mountain Tour waxing a bit exciting.

As always, it is always a good idea to have two pairs of skis, one colder, one warmer. Given the forecast, we recommend a mid-range ski for the primary with a colder ski as a backup in case conditions go colder than expected.

Check back in for updates after testing Thursday and Friday.

*Note: BNS imports Holmenkol and SkiGo waxes, and also sells waxes from Swix, Toko, Rode, Solda, Rex, Guru, Innovax, Magnar and others. We search for the fastest waxes for our customers and our testing is professional, objective and transparent. We make our best effort to test what we think is the best from each brand. However, given that we are testing more options from Holmenkol and SkiGo, there is a bias toward those brands. With this full disclosure, you can assess the legitimacy of our testing yourself. Visit Swix and Toko for their official recommendations. If you have any questions please contact us.
